Job Description

The Ecommerce Intern is immersed in the comprehensive journey of digital marketing and ecommerce platforms, gaining a holistic perspective on how these critical functions interplay within Rally House. Interns build a solid groundwork in both marketing and ecommerce, with opportunities to enhance their confidence and build relationships with management and team members across departments. This internship focuses on developing skills and contributing to key areas of the business, including digital marketing strategies and ecommerce operations. The internship is supervised by the marketing and ecommerce department.

Throughout their tenure, interns undertake significant projects, formulated in collaboration with their marketing supervisor. These projects might involve analyzing SEO strategy and performance, evaluating maintenance strategies for the ecommerce platform, strategizing on product promotions and launches, or working alongside the marketing team on integrated marketing campaigns that may include touchpoint planning and execution, ecommerce optimization, and online content. This role is designed to offer practical experience and insights into the dynamic world of retail marketing and ecommerce.

Responsibilities

• SEO Optimization: Assist in optimizing website content for search engines to improve visibility and rankings, including keyword research and analysis, content optimization, and link-building strategies.
• Website Maintenance: Assist in the regular maintenance of the e-commerce website, including updating banners, promotional content, and ensuring the site remains user-friendly and up to date.
• Content Evaluation: Review content for various digital platforms, including social media, websites, and email marketing campaigns, to drive traffic and increase brand awareness.

Skills and Knowledge

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, In-depth understanding of website design and modern technologies, Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) suites and CAD programs

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s degree program in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; Completion of relevant coursework in marketing principles, digital marketing, market research, or consumer behavior is preferred. Outstanding organizational abilities, including efficient planning and task execution, superior verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.

Ability to work as a team member; Intermediate skills in Microsoft and Excel; Enthusiastic attitude; Takes initiative with minimal oversight; Possess collaboration and communication skills with the agility to work across multiple team settings

Work is performed in office and retail store environments and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Required to stand and walk; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; differentiate colors. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items up tp 25lbs, and to walk short distances.
