Marketing and Sales Intern

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our Art Gallery. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing and sales for the art world. This role will involve helping manage marketing and sales for several of our Chinese artists who's work we help sell through our gallery.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels, such as web and social media content
• Support the gallery with lead generation activities, including cold calling and direct outreach.
• Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for client base growth.
• Help manage client relationships, ensuring accurate data entry and follow-up.
• Participate in new art presentations and upselling initiatives to enhance collector experience.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize sales efforts.
• Analyze marketing data to evaluate campaign effectiveness and suggest improvements.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly at the front desk, through email, and over the phone.

Requirements

• Strong interest in marketing, sales, or business development in the art market.
• Familiarity with software such as Artsy, Mail Chimp, and Squarespace is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently with a small team
• Basic understanding of sales processes and techniques.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Mandarin comprehension highly valued.
• Previous experience in retail sales or direct sales in art is beneficial but not required.
