Intern Engineer / Business Development

The Role
Al Fisht Electromechanical Works is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern Engineer / Business Development Intern to join our team in Ajman. This internship offers hands-on experience in both technical project support and business development activities within the electromechanical and ELV sector. The selected candidate will assist engineering teams with site coordination, documentation, preparation of technical reports, BOQs, and basic drawing reviews. The intern will also support installation follow-ups, project tracking, and communication with suppliers and subcontractors. On the business development side, responsibilities include conducting market research, identifying potential clients, supporting tender submissions, preparing proposals and company profiles, and maintaining client databases. The role requires coordination with internal departments to ensure timely submission of quotations and documentation. Candidates should hold (or be pursuing) a degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong communication skills, proficiency in MS Office, and a willingness to learn are essential. This position provides valuable exposure to both technical operations and business growth strategies in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. • Based in the UAE (Ajman preferred). • Strong interest in both technical engineering projects and business development activities. • Basic knowledge of electrical / ELV systems is an advantage (for engineering background). • Good understanding of market research, client communication, and proposal preparation (for business background). • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); AutoCAD knowledge is a plus. • Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. • Eagerness to learn, proactive attitude, and professional work ethic. • Available for immediate start within the UAE.
