The Intern - Finance Analyst in META is responsible for the key financial activities and local business requirements of the region. This role will act as a strategic partner to the business, providing accurate financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support decision-making. This role requires strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively liaise with team members across multiple locations and ensure alignment with regional and global financial objectives
POSITION PROFILE (Major duties, accountabilities, and responsibilities)

Develop, design, upgrade and maintain dashboards and reporting tools used for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting such as DOMO, Excel, Hyperion Essbase.

Monitor and control Advertising & Promotion (A&P) budgets, ensuring proper allocation and spending and provide variance analysis

Reconcile agency payments against A&P contracts and approved budgets.

Conduct financial audits of KSA in marketing, advertising, and third-party agencies to ensure accuracy in billing and compliance with contracts

Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with Tax regulations

Review and validate Credit Note (CN) requests from customers or internal stakeholders.

Ensure requests are supported with proper documentation (e.g., proof of delivery discrepancies, pricing errors, or contract terms).

Analyze sales and profitability by customer, product category, and region.

Provide insights on high/low-margin segments and recommend corrective actions.
Experience:

Bachelor and/or master’s degree in finance or accounting

2+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis. Preferably experience in an international, commercially driven company

Ability to read, speak, and write in English fluently.

Experience/affinity with collaboration with commercial teams - ability to be the commercial agitator and challenge current ideas & processes

Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail: able to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable strategic recommendations
