Step into a role where your work supports something bigger. As an Intern Junior within the Primary Care division—serving Children’s Medical Group and Children’s Wisconsin Urgent Care—you’ll gain hands-on experience in healthcare supply chain operations while contributing to the systems that help our teams deliver exceptional care to kids and families.
You’ll assist in the development and submission of annual operational budgets across multiple cost centers and collaborate with leaders across the organization. This internship is designed to help you build real-world skills, strengthen your analytical abilities, and explore the full landscape of supply chain in a healthcare setting.
Demonstrate guiding behaviors that reflect Children’s values and support our mission and vision.
Collect, analyze, and prepare data to support inventory control activities (PAR levels, units of measure, cycle counts, etc.).
Partner with department leaders to review, document, and improve current processes and procedures.
Assist in developing new reports and dashboards that drive operational insights.
Support the build-out of the Workday Strategic Sourcing contracts database.
Collaborate with Distribution, Warehousing, Invasive Services, Sourcing, Procurement, and Accounts Payable to gain a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare supply chain.
Contribute to special projects and ad hoc initiatives as assigned.
Completion of at least one year of a degree program in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑focused mindset.
Foundational knowledge of logistics, purchasing, business management principles, and business math.
A high level of accountability, service orientation, and responsiveness to department needs.
Proficiency with Windows-based software including Outlook, Excel, and Word; experience with Access and PowerPoint is a plus.
