Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Design of Simple & Complex Aircraft Propulsion System: Good in basics, moderate & advanced level of Aerodynamics, Flight Mechanics, Compressible as well as Incompressible domain, Solid Mechanics, Thin-walled structures design, Theory of Elasticity & Plasticity, SoM (Basic & Advanced), Mechanics (Statics & Dynamics), Generation of Free body Diagram (FBD) & other basic Engineering subjects of the related domain. Electromechanical system like Motors, Electric Propulsion system, etc.


  • Design of Complex Mechanical Systems: Should be good in designing complex Aero-mechanical systems. Should be able to corelate Mechanical & electromechanical sub-systems as a single system.


  • Testing of Propulsion Systems: Testing of Motor, ESC & Propeller combinations. Should be able to corelate the test finding with fundamentals of the respective system.


  • Develop Codes & Algorithms: Develop codes & algorithms to standardise design of various airframe elements, along with various stability & aerodynamics criteria and calculations. (Preferably in MS excel &/or Python)


  • Adaptable & Open To new learnings: Should be adaptable & open to new domain learning in terms of understanding & visualising how things interact.


  • Quality and Reliability: Champion the application of GD&T and tolerance stack-up to ensure consistent quality across design iterations and manufacturing batches. Uphold the highest standards of quality throughout the design process and investigate and resolve any quality issues arising from design or manufacturing processes.


  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of CAD design, drawings, reports and test results to facilitate troubleshooting and future development.


  • Cross Functional Team: Interact with cross functional teams to understand the respective designs details


  • FBD, Sketching & CAD Modelling: Basic understanding of how Sketching and CAD modelling is done. Basic understanding of design & how things work. Should be able to understand how forces & torques are transmitted from one part/Sub assembly to another.
