The Mandate

Sinar Makmur Organik is seeking a high-caliber Internal Audit Director to spearhead our risk management and governance framework. Operating from our hub on Raysut Port Road, you will be the guardian of our operational and financial integrity. We need a leader who can move beyond traditional "ticking and tying" to provide strategic insights that protect our organic certifications, optimize our supply chain, and ensure absolute compliance with the Sultanate's regulatory environment.

Executive Responsibilities

• Strategic Audit Leadership: Design and execute a risk-based annual internal audit plan that covers all aspects of the business, from farm-gate organic sourcing to port-side logistics and export.
• Operational & Financial Governance: Oversee the evaluation of internal control systems, identifying gaps in financial reporting, procurement protocols, and inventory management within the Raysut facility.
• Organic Certification Integrity: Establish specialized audit protocols to ensure the continuous validity of organic certifications (USDA, EU, etc.), protecting the firm’s core value proposition and market access.
• Fraud Risk Management: Implement robust anti-fraud programs and whistleblower mechanisms, conducting sensitive investigations when necessary and reporting findings directly to the Audit Committee.
• Compliance & Regulatory Liaison: Ensure 100% alignment with the Omani Labour Law, Tax Authority regulations, and Port Authority mandates, serving as the primary liaison for external auditors and government inspectors.
• Board-Level Advisory: Provide the Board of Directors and executive leadership with independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve the organization's operations.

Professional Profile

• Minimum 15–18 years of progressive experience in internal audit or risk management, with at least 6 years in a senior leadership or Director-level role.
• Mandatory Qualifications: CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) is essential. Additional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFE are highly preferred.
• Proven experience in the FMCG, Agriculture, or Logistics sectors, ideally with exposure to international quality standards.
• Exceptional command of modern audit software and data analytics tools to drive "continuous auditing" practices.
• Bilingual Excellence: Native or professional-level fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory for executive reporting and navigating local regulatory frameworks.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
