Internal Audit Officer

Job Purpose

The Internal Audit Officer is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures, conducting operational and inventory audits, and identifying risks that may impact organizational objectives. The role supports the organization in strengthening governance, risk management, and control processes.

Key ResponsibilitiesInternal Control Assessment

  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls across business functions.
  • Identify control deficiencies and recommend corrective actions to strengthen operational processes.
  • Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and management action plans.

Inventory Audit & Verification

  • Conduct periodic and surprise physical inventory audits at warehouses, distribution centers, and operational locations.
  • Verify stock records against physical inventory and investigate variances.
  • Assess inventory management practices and recommend process improvements.

Compliance Audits

  • Review compliance with company policies, procedures, SOPs, and delegated authority frameworks.
  • Ensure operational activities are conducted in accordance with approved guidelines and internal controls.
  • Identify instances of non-compliance and report findings to management.

Operational Audits

  • Perform audits of warehouse operations, sales processes, procurement activities, and other operational functions.
  • Evaluate process efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Analyze operational risks and identify opportunities for process optimization.

Risk Management & Reporting

  • Identify operational, financial, and compliance risks across the organization.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing observations, root causes, risks, and recommendations.
  • Present audit findings to management and support risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Maintain audit documentation in accordance with professional auditing standards.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CIA, ACCA, CA, CMA, or equivalent will be preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, or related functions.
  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution environments will be an advantage.

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
