Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented indirect procurement specialist to source, negotiate and manage suppliers for goods and services that support company operations but are not directly used in production. This role will be responsible for helping lead the implementation of new processes and systems for indirect purchasing, creating and managing purchase orders, and collaborating with cross-functional teams across the organization on all matters related to indirect procurement. The indirect procurement specialist will focus on cost optimization, supplier performance, contract management, and ensuring procurement activities align with company policies, compliance requirements, and overall business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Lead implementation of a new process and system for indirect procurement at TransMedics.

Manage procurement activities for indirect spending categories such as IT, marketing services, facilities, office supplies, and professional services.

Partner with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing solutions.

Maintain a solid relationship with all suppliers and ensure strong 2-way communication is present.

Lead or support sourcing initiatives including RFPs, RFQs and supplier evaluation and selection processes.

Manage supplier contracts, renewals and compliance with company policies.

Analyze spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

Monitor supplier performance and resolve any service or delivery issues, ensuring proper invoices are presented to the Accounts Payable department.

Serve as a liaison between departments, external suppliers, freight carriers, and the shipping department to support procurement and logistics activities.

Ensure procurement activities comply with corporate governance, legal and ethical standards.

Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support TMDX needs.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
This position manages the following positions on a daily basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Mgmt.

6+ years purchasing and materials planning experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with ERP systems.

Excel proficient

Enjoys analysis/statistics, a Problem Solver. Clear and logical thinker.
- Ability to handle pressure well and calmly lead others through complex issues across physical and systemic platforms. Should be detail oriented and highly organized.
