Role: International Buyer Operations Associate

Location: Noida

Reports to: Founders / COO
Experience: 2-5 years in merchandising/ international buyer management

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented International Buyer Operations Associate to own and streamline back-office operations for our international buyers (US & EU). This role requires a blend of strong merchandising fundamentals, excellent communication skills, and a business-first mindset.

You will act as the operations backbone for our buyer accounts - managing data, production tracking, communication, and project coordination from end to end. Over time, this role will also contribute to scaling our back-office services to additional clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Buyer Operations & Communication

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for international buyers.
  • Manage all back-office workflows including vendor onboarding, PO creation, data handling, production updates and reporting.
  • Draft clear, concise communication for buyers-both written and verbal.
  • Ensure timely follow-ups, action closures, and proactive problem-solving.

2. Merchandising Support

  • Understand buyer expectations, product categories, and merchandising timelines.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, factories, shipping to ensure accurate execution.
  • Review product details, packaging, specs, and order information for completeness and accuracy.

3. Project Management

  • Track multiple orders and clients simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain data sheets and work with buyer ERPs.
  • Identify operational gaps and suggest process improvements.

4. Business Expansion (Future Responsibility)

  • Support leadership in building a scalable back-office operations offering.
  • Develop frameworks, processes, and SOPs that can onboard additional junior team members over time.
  • Assist in evaluating and onboarding new buyer accounts into the back-office model.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 25 years in merchandising, sourcing, or similar roles handling international buyers. Its a plus if you have worked at a liaison office.
  • MBA is a plus but not mandatory; strong business instincts matter more.
  • High ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new processes, tools, and expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills clarity, structure, and confidence.
  • Strong attention to detail, project management, organisational, and analytical abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹500,000.00 per year
