Charter Brokerage LLC, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, is seeking a candidate who has knowledge of, or interest in developing their career in the U.S. Customs import-export field in the position of International Trade Specialist.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

·        Reviewing commercial documents and information for import-export compliance.

·        Processing documents for U.S. Customs clearance and entry for importation into the United States, or export reporting to the U.S. Department of Commerce.

·        Submitting government clearance forms and relevant documents in a timely manner.

·        Communicating effectively with importers, exporters, and related parties.

·        Tracking risk areas of compliance while filing import entries and export documentation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

·        Possess a bachelor’s degree in international trade or related business field. We will consider a candidate with experience, or strong conviction that they are qualified.

·        Be detail oriented.

·        Have excellent customer-service focus.

·        Have a strong proficiency to prioritize and to multitask.

·        Have strong written and verbal communication skills.

·        Have a strong work ethic.

·        Be highly motivated and proactive.
