Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management & Control:
  • Monitor and manage optimal stock levels to prevent overstocking, stock outs, and obsolescence.
  • Oversee the accurate receipt, storage, and distribution/issuance of inventory items.
  • Implement and manage effective inventory control procedures.
  • Inventory Tracking & Reporting:
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all inventory transactions (purchases, returns, adjustments)
  • Utilize inventory management software/ERP systems to track stock movement, quantities, quality, and location.
  • Generate and submit regular inventory reports (e.g., daily stock balance, consumption reports, stock variance) to management.
  • Physical Audits and Reconciliation:
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts (e.g., cycle counts, quarterly or annual stock takes).
  • Perform inventory reconciliation to ensure physical counts match recorded system levels.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory counts and records.
  • Procurement and Vendor Relations (often in collaboration with a Procurement/Finance team):
  • Assist in calculating and forecasting future stock needs and reorder levels.
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers regarding inventory procurement, deliveries, and supply chain issues.
  • Process and track purchase orders for inventory replenishment.
  • Cost Management and Compliance:
  • Monitor and assist in controlling inventory costs (e.g., Cost of Goods Sold - COGS).
  • Support the finance/accounting department with inventory valuation (e.g., FIFO, LIFO).
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, safety standards, and inventory accounting regulations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience: Proven experience (typically 2+ years) working in an inventory control, stock management, or warehouse environment.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Inventory Management Software (ERP systems).
  • Strong competence in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with inventory best practices (e.g., cycle counting, reorder points, ABC analysis)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Rs45,000.00 per month
