Job Description

The Inventory Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring the efficient movement of materials within the warehouse. This role plays a crucial part in supporting daily operations by performing cycle counts, managing inventory locations, assisting in receiving processes, and maintaining organization. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, proactive in identifying discrepancies, and committed to following safety and quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management & Accuracy

  • Perform daily cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure all materials are properly located and conduct searches to correct any misclassified or misplaced inventory.
  • Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items, weigh materials, and mark remaining product quantities.
  • Report over/under amounts and damaged products to supervisors for corrective action.
  • Track and coordinate the ordering and shipping of internal and external/vendor shipments.

Receiving & Stocking

  • Assist in the receiving and putaway process for incoming materials, ensuring items are stored efficiently.
  • Manage inventory levels for media, hardware, and consumables such as fabric, paper, vinyl, frames, ink, and shipping supplies.
  • Assist in transfers between inventory and production areas to maintain workflow efficiency.

Inventory Analysis & Process Improvement

  • Assist in publishing weekly and quarterly inventory metrics to track performance.
  • Communicate and develop process enhancements to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommend process improvements to eliminate them.

Warehouse Organization & Safety

  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness in collaboration with the team.
  • Ensure all safety rules are strictly observed, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Operate and inspect forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies, including quality and safety procedure guidelines.
  • Ability to work extended hours/overtime as needed to support business operations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

● High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

● Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics is a plus.

● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

● Ability to lift and move heavy items as necessary.

● Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Excel is preferred.

● Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to recommend process improvements.

● Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred but not required).

● Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast paced environment

● Comfortable using a PC with computer software packages, including Google Workspace and communicating effectively via email and phone frequently

Physical Requirements:

● Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs or more, using team lift.

● Ability to stand for up to 8 hours with periodic breaks.

● Ability to safely and successfully perform physical job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

● Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
