Who is Barmetrix?

At Barmetrix, we specialize in boosting profitability for bars, restaurants, and hotels by helping them manage inventory smarter—not harder.

We conduct on-site bar audits and work closely with our clients to reduce losses from over-pouring, waste, theft, and inefficiency. With our help, managers can stop drowning in numbers and get back to running better bars.

Who We're Looking For

You love the hospitality industry—but not the late nights and weekends. You’re sharp, reliable, and take pride in doing things right the first time.

This is an entry-level role with real growth potential. Most of our senior account managers and GMs started out counting stock—just like you.

What the Job Looks Like

Our team audits bars and restaurants before they open for business. We count and weigh liquor, wine, and beer using handheld scanners, digital scales, and laptops.

You’ll start with a team, and once trained, may be responsible for auditing a location solo. The work is physical, fast-paced, and detail-driven. A typical day includes 2–4 locations, all within the DC metro area. Most shifts start by 6am and finish around noon.

A Good Fit for This Role:

  • You move fast—but never at the expense of accuracy or organization
  • You enjoy physical work and mental focus
  • You’re tech-comfortable (scanners, spreadsheets, software)
  • You care about doing the job right—because your team depends on it
  • You’re looking for a behind-the-scenes role with real impact (and room to grow)

Requirements

  • Availability Monday–Friday, starting by 6am
  • Reliable access to transportation (personal vehicle or consistent public transit)
  • Ability to lift and set beer kegs (up to 165 lbs—we’ll train safe technique)
  • Comfortable working in cold storage (walk-ins) for extended periods
  • Able to bend, stretch, kneel, and stand for long periods—and move quickly while doing it

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of hospitality, service, or inventory-related experience
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, POS familiarity)
  • Strong organizational habits and time management
  • High school diploma or GED

What You’ll Get

  • $20/hour starting pay
  • Flexible daytime schedule (you’re done by mid-afternoon!)
  • Paid training + all equipment provided
  • Uniforms and parking reimbursement
  • Path to full-time work and internal growth
  • A tight-knit, high-performing team
