Inventory Control / Cycle Counter - Thursday - Monday Days - Starting at $23.00/hr

Job Summary:

The Inventory Control/Cycle Counter is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring stock accuracy, and performing regular cycle counts. This role involves monitoring inventory transactions, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to ensure optimal inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and experience in inventory control processes. This role includes occasional weekend work.

Scheduled hours for this position are 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Thursday - Monday. The pay rate starts at $23.00/hr.

Overtime Notice: Overtime may be required and can be scheduled before and/or after regular weekday shifts, as well as on weekends. Overtime may be voluntary or mandatory, depending on business needs.

Job Responsibilities:

Cycle Counting:

  • Conduct regular and systematic cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Reconcile cycle count discrepancies and investigate causes of inventory variances.
  • Update inventory records and system data to reflect accurate stock levels.

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential issues related to stock shortages or overages.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Analyze inventory trends and provide recommendations for optimizing stock levels.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, adjustments, and counts.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on inventory accuracy, cycle count results, and performance metrics.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement best practices for inventory control and cycle counting processes.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory management and cycle counting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory-related issues and enhance operational efficiency.

System Maintenance:

  • Ensure inventory management systems are updated and maintained accurately.
  • Assist with the implementation and training of new inventory control systems or technologies.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
  • Promote and ensure compliance with safety protocols in the handling and storage of inventory.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or related roles.

Work Environment:

Production facility setting.

  • Must wear required PPE while in all manufacturing areas.
  • Moving parts and machinery are present in the plant.
  • Noise levels will vary, higher noise levels exist while in the plant operations areas.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50lbs over an entire shift.
  • Ability to physically perform repetitive motions of grasping, lifting, pulling, pushing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching.
  • Ability to work in a hot, humid environment when performing sanitation tasks.
