Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting the Buyer and Material Control Manager in controlling inventory.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Daily input on production reports into SAP (WIP inventory creation and slit coils consumption).
· Verification, post- production of Pipe and slit coils inventory.
· Make sure that production orders in SAP show the movements reported by the production team.
· Scrap production related to production orders.
· Keep yard locations updated in SAP and make sure materials on the floor are properly identified along with the shipping crew.
· Creation, management, and closure of production orders as a management backup.
· Cyclical inventory counts.
· Assist the Sales team by providing details of the inventory when requested.
· Other duties related to inventory.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Basic understanding of warehouse procedures.
· Strong organization and analytical skills.
· Basic knowledge (intermediate level desirable) of Excel.
· Desirable experience with SAP, JD Edwards, or similar ERP.
· Work in the yard environment (60%) as well as in office (40%)/
Education and Experience:
· High School diploma or GED required.
· Two years of inventory control, inventory/warehouse management or general business experience required.
