Job Summary
The Inventory Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing inventory operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and optimal stock levels. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills to monitor, reconcile, and report on inventory activities while collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure data integrity in inventory management systems.

Monitor stock levels and replenish inventory as needed to support operational requirements.

Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to reconcile system data with physical stock.

Analyze inventory reports to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels.

Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure smooth inventory flow.

Report discrepancies, quality issues, and inventory-related problems promptly to management.

Prepare and present reports on inventory performance, turnover, and stock aging.

Implement control measures to minimize stock variances and prevent stockouts or overstocking.

Support the inspection of incoming materials to verify quality and compliance with standards.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).

3–5 years of experience in inventory management or a similar role, ideally within a warehouse or distribution environment.

Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Familiarity with inventory control principles (e.g., FIFO, JIT) and warehouse management systems (WMS).

APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is an advantage.
