Inventory Controller – Al Safi Danone (ASD)

Location: Al Kharj

Department: Primary Logistics – FG Warehouse

Role Summary

Inventory control of Finished products and co-manufacturing products, Inventory.

The role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records of finished dairy products including milk, juices, and chilled items in the warehouse. The Inventory Controller ensures proper stock management, FIFO compliance, inventory reconciliation, and coordination with production, procurement, dispatch, and sales teams to maintain optimal stock levels while supporting warehouse operations and reporting requirements.

Key Accountabilities

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records for all dairy products including milk, juices, and chilled items in the warehouse.

• Ensure strict FIFO (First-In First-Out) compliance to avoid product expiry and wastage.

• Perform daily cycle counts for selected SKUs and conduct full physical stock counts as per schedule.

• Reconcile system stock with physical stock and investigate discrepancies immediately.

Stock Monitoring & Coordination

• Monitor stock levels of finished goods and coordinate with production and procurement teams for timely replenishment.

• Ensure proper storage conditions for chilled and temperature-sensitive dairy products.

• Coordinate with dispatch and sales teams to maintain optimal stock levels for customer orders.

Warehouse Operations

• Implement and enforce warehouse procedures to prevent product damage, spoilage, or contamination.

• Ensure proper pallet stacking, crate handling, and cold-chain management in the warehouse.

• Monitor product expiry dates and manage near-expiry stock through proper rotation.

Direction of Subordinates

• Supervise warehouse staff involved in receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch operations.

• Train team members on FIFO practices, dairy product handling, hygiene standards, and safety procedures.

• Ensure compliance with warehouse operational standards and company policies.

Policies, Processes & Procedures

• Implement warehouse SOPs related to dairy product storage, handling, and inventory management.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and food safety requirements.

• Coordinate with quality assurance teams during inspections and audits.

Reporting

• Prepare daily and monthly inventory reports including stock movement, cycle count results, and stock discrepancies.

• Report damaged, expired, or short-dated products to management and quality teams.

• Maintain proper documentation of warehouse transactions and inventory records in the system.

Safety, Quality & Environment

• Compliance with security procedures and health & safety.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 2–3 years of experience in FMCG warehouse operations
• Good knowledge of warehouse inventory control and stock management
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (required)
• Experience in FMCG, food, or dairy warehouse operations is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile stock discrepancies
• Good communication skills in English and Arabic
• Ability to prepare inventory reports and maintain accurate records
