Position Summary
The Pipeline Operations Manager is responsible for managing the execution, control, and performance of retail pipeline orders across all Business Units, in both Vehicle and Temperature Control Divisions.
This role serves as the central coordination point across Planning, Purchasing, Sales, and Operations, ensuring that pipeline demand is accurately processed, monitored, and aligned to customer delivery expectations.
The position requires a strong combination of analytical thinking, operational execution, independent decision-making, and exceptional organizational discipline, as it involves managing high volumes of data, prioritizing competing demands, and maintaining accuracy across multiple systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills are critical to success in this role, as the Pipeline Operations Manager must effectively track, prioritize, and execute multiple workflows simultaneously while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timeliness.
The role also provides operational leadership, including full ownership of team training and workflow execution standards.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Order Management
- Manage end-to-end order execution in JDE and Pipeline Portal
- Ensure accuracy of pipeline setup, dates, and system data
- Monitor pack-to-order and pack-to-stock transitions
Performance & Fill Rate
- Monitor fill levels and identify risks
- Escalate issues impacting customer delivery
- Support enterprise fill rate goals
Leadership & Training
- Provide daily direction to pipeline associates
- Own all training and onboarding of team members
- Establish and maintain standard work processes
Organizational & Workflow Management
- Maintain structured control over high-volume activity
- Prioritize and manage multiple pipelines and deadlines simultaneously
- Track order status, changes, and follow-ups to prevent delays
- Establish organized processes for managing data and workflows
- Maintain clear visibility of pipeline progress and actions
- Effective and professional communication of pipeline status to the Commercial team and customers
Decision-Making Authority
- Make real-time decisions to protect customer delivery
- Determine when escalation is required
- Own pipeline execution outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred, minimum of Associate’s degree
- 5+ years supply chain or planning experience
- MRP system experience (JDE preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and decision-making ability
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume work with strong organizational discipline
- Strong effective and concise communication skills
- Must be able to travel to our Virginia facility extensively for training
