Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Inventory Logistics Specialist to manage and streamline inventory and logistics operations for our online tools & machinery business. This role will ensure that products are received, stored, tracked, and shipped efficiently — supporting both warehouse operations and online order fulfilment for BlockToBox.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Receiving & Stock Management
- Receive incoming stock deliveries, inspect items for quality/condition, verify against purchase orders, and log into inventory system.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records in the warehouse management / ERP / stock system.
- Organize, store, and manage stock in designated warehouse locations (shelves, racks, bins) to ensure ease of picking and minimal errors.
- Monitor inventory levels, flag low-stock / re-order needs, and coordinate restocking or procurement as necessary.
- Order Fulfilment & Logistics Coordination
- Prepare and coordinate order shipments: picking, packing, labelling, dispatching, and liaising with shipping/logistics providers.
- Manage returns or damaged goods: inspect returned items, log returns in system, coordinate restocking or disposal as appropriate.
- Inventory Audit & Reconciliation
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts/cycle counts and reconcile with system records to ensure accuracy.
- Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies (loss, damage, mismatch, etc.), and coordinate corrective actions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with purchasing/procurement, sales, warehouse and logistics teams to forecast demand, manage stock replenishment and avoid stockouts or overstock.
- Help establish and follow SOPs for warehouse operations, inventory handling, safety & quality standards, and continuous process improvements.
- Generate and maintain inventory reports — stock levels, turnover rates, order vs. dispatch records, returns, damages, etc.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering field.
· 1–3 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or logistics (preferably in tools, machinery, industrial products, or e-commerce).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in record keeping.
- Basic computer skills: proficiency in spreadsheet tools (Excel/Google Sheets) and inventory/warehouse management software or ERP systems.
- Good communication skills — to coordinate with warehouse staff, procurement, shipping vendors, and other teams.
- Willingness to work in a warehouse / logistics environment and handle physical goods (tools, machine parts) safely.
What We Offer (or expect from employer)
- Opportunity to join a growing online tools & machinery business with dynamic product catalogue and diverse SKUs.
- A role central to smooth operations — interfacing between procurement, warehouse, sales and delivery.
- Possibility to contribute to process improvements, inventory systems, and operations strategy.
