Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to lead our inventory control and supply chain operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing warehouse distribution, procurement, and materials management processes to ensure optimal stock levels, efficient order fulfillment, and seamless logistics. Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end inventory control processes, including stock replenishment, demand planning, and cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Oversee warehouse distribution activities, ensuring efficient storage, materials handling, and shipping & receiving operations.
- Lead procurement efforts by sourcing materials, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and managing supplier relationships to optimize pricing and delivery terms.
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling related to inventory valuation, procurement costs, and pricing strategies to support budgeting and forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, logistics, production planning, and e-commerce to align inventory strategies with business goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse distribution, or inventory control within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Tableau or similar visualization tools; experience with ERP systems like AS400 or SAP is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of demand planning methodologies, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and supply chain analytics.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, sourcing strategies, and supplier management to secure favorable contracts.
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), 3PL logistics providers, shipping & receiving processes, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts.
- Excellent analysis skills with a focus on root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to perform financial modeling related to inventory valuation and pricing strategies; familiarity with Nielsen data or retail merchandising is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
