Job Summary
The Inventory Manager is responsible for planning, controlling, and monitoring all inventory activities related to raw materials, finished goods, spares, and consumables in the roofing sheet manufacturing factory. The role ensures optimum stock levels, prevents material shortages, minimizes wastage, and supports smooth production operations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate records of raw materials .
- Monitor stock levels of finished goods (roofing sheets, accessories) and ensure proper storage.
- Implement minimum, maximum, and reorder levels for all inventory items.
- Avoid over-stocking, under-stocking, and material expiry or damage.
Stores & Warehouse Management
- Supervise receipt, storage, and issue of materials as per FIFO / FEFO methods.
- Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and safety of materials in the store.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Investigate and report stock discrepancies, shortages, or damages.
Production Coordination
- Coordinate with the production department to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Issue materials to production based on approved requisitions.
- Track material consumption and report abnormal variances.
Purchase & Vendor Coordination
- Share stock status and material requirements with the purchase department.
- Assist in material planning and purchase forecasting.
- Follow up with purchase teams for timely material delivery.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain inventory records in Excel / Stock registers.
- Prepare reports on:
- Stock status
- Consumption reports
- Aging inventory
- Wastage and scrap
- Support internal and external audits with proper documentation.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with factory safety rules and inventory procedures.
- Maintain proper records as per statutory and company requirements.
- Ensure safe handling of chemicals, coils, and heavy materials.
Team Supervision
- Supervise storekeepers and helpers.
- Train store staff on inventory control procedures and safety practices.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials Management
- Additional certification in Inventory / Stores Management is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory or stores management.
- Experience in manufacturing industry (preferably roofing, steel, or metal products) is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
