The IT Hardware B2B Operations & Logistics Officer is responsible for managing the end-to-end operational and logistics processes for IT hardware supplied to business customers. This role ensures accurate order fulfilment, inventory control, supplier coordination, and timely delivery while maintaining high service levels and compliance with UK regulations.
Key Responsibilities
B2B Operations
- Manage B2B IT hardware orders from receipt through dispatch and delivery
- Coordinate with sales, account management, and finance teams to ensure smooth order processing
- Handle order confirmations, invoicing support, returns (RMA), and warranty processes
- Maintain accurate operational records in ERP/CRM systems
Logistics & Supply Chain
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with couriers, freight forwarders, and suppliers
- Monitor delivery schedules and proactively resolve delays or issues
- Ensure correct packaging, labelling, and documentation for UK and international shipments
- Manage relationships with logistics partners to optimise cost and service quality
Inventory & Asset Management
- Track stock levels, serial numbers, and asset registers for IT hardware
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies
- Forecast demand and support procurement planning
- Manage secure storage and handling of high-value IT equipment
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with UK regulations (WEEE, VAT documentation, import/export where applicable)
- Maintain health & safety standards within warehouse or storage facilities
- Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Customer & Vendor Communication
- Act as an operational point of contact for B2B customers regarding order and delivery queries
- Liaise with vendors, distributors, and manufacturers to resolve supply issues
- Provide accurate status updates and reports to internal stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
- 2+ years’ experience in B2B operations, logistics, or supply chain (IT hardware preferred)
- Strong understanding of IT hardware (servers, laptops, networking equipment, peripherals)
- Experience working with ERP, inventory management, or CRM systems
- Knowledge of UK logistics processes and courier management
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Desirable
- Experience with international shipping and customs documentation
- Knowledge of WEEE compliance and IT asset lifecycle management
- Familiarity with vendors such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, Cisco, etc.
