Inventory Manager

An Inventory Manager in the steel industry oversees the procurement, storage, and movement of raw materials (iron ore, scrap, coal) and finished steel products (coils, sheets, beams). Key responsibilities include optimizing inventory levels to avoid stockouts or excess stock, managing warehouse operations, maintaining accuracy in ERP systems, and ensuring safety compliance. Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Inventory Control: Track raw materials and finished goods, managing stock-keeping units (SKUs) and conducting regular physical cycle counts.
  • Logistics & Storage: Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and loading heavy steel products, while optimizing storage space.
  • Supply Chain & Procurement: Monitor inventory levels using ERP systems to prevent shortages, and liaise with suppliers for replenishment.
  • Data Accuracy & Reporting: Maintain accurate inventory records, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and prepare reports for management.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations in handling, storing, and moving heavy materials.
  • SLOB Management: Identify and manage Slow-Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) inventory.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with steel manufacturing, including knowledge of raw materials and finished products.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,725.12 - ₹35,261.82 per month
