Role Overview

The Inventory Planner will be responsible for defining and executing optimal inventory strategies across multiple channels and warehouses. This role ensures that stock levels are well balanced between availability, working capital efficiency, and minimal obsolescence , directly impacting service levels and business growth.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Inventory Planning & Policies
  2. Define min–max stock levels, safety stock, and reorder points for 1000+ SKUs across categories and warehouses.
  3. Maintain healthy stock turns while avoiding both overstock and stock-outs.
  4. Demand & Supply Alignment
  5. Create allocation plans across ecommerce, GT, MT, and EBO channels based on channel priorities and sales velocity.
  6. Replenishment Management
  7. Monitor and drive replenishment from central warehouse to regional warehouses and trade partners.
  8. Automate reorder triggers within Business Central/ERP system.
  9. Stock Health & Optimization
  10. Track aging, slow-moving, and non-moving SKUs and recommend liquidation/markdown strategies.
  11. Support NPD (new product development) launches with initial stocking strategies.
  12. Analytics & Reporting
  13. Build dashboards on inventory coverage, turns, aging, and working capital.
  14. Provide actionable insights for inventory efficiency improvements.


Key Skills & Competencies

  1. Strong analytical skills with ability to work on large SKU bases.
  2. Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI (or other BI tools).
  3. Hands-on experience in ERP systems (preferably Business Central/Dynamics) .
  4. Knowledge of inventory management principles (EOQ, safety stock, ABC analysis).
  5. Strong collaboration skills to work with sales, marketing, supply planning, and warehouse teams.
  6. Ability to balance service levels with inventory costs.


Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s/Master’s in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
  2. 3–6 years’ experience in inventory planning/management, preferably in FMCG, Fashion or Cosmetics
  3. Experience managing multi-channel distribution is highly desirable.
