Investment Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Accounting & Record-Keeping

Record and reconcile all investment transactions, including purchases, sales, dividends, interest, and capital gains.

Maintain accurate investment ledgers.

Ensure proper classification and coding of investment-related accounts.

Investment Contract Management & Compliance

Review all investment agreements and contracts for terms, conditions, and obligations.

Monitor and track the schedule of returns and payments from investments.

Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and investment guidelines.

Maintain a record of any notifications, reminders, or follow-ups required under the investment contracts.

Ensure that all investor or counterparty contact information is current; send reminders or notifications if addresses or details are outdated.

Portfolio Valuation & Analysis

Perform periodic valuation of investment portfolios.

Calculate unrealized and realized gains/losses, income accruals, and fair value adjustments.

Maintain a consolidated and detailed investment portfolio report reflecting all contracts, schedules, returns, and updates.

Follow-Up & Monitoring

Send timely reminders and follow-ups to counterparties regarding investment payments, maturities, or contract obligations.

Coordinate changes or updates in contact details, addresses, or notifications as needed to ensure accurate record-keeping.

Track adherence to investment schedules and report any discrepancies or delays.

Reporting & Analysis

Prepare detailed monthly reports consolidating all investments, including contract status, returns, schedules, and follow-up actions.

Provide analysis and insights on portfolio performance, risk, and opportunities for management review.

Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations for investment transactions.
