Role Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Analyst with strong analytical capabilities and proven experience in Public-Private Partnerships (PPP). The ideal candidate will support financial modeling, investment evaluation, project due diligence, and strategic advisory across infrastructure, public-sector projects, and private-sector investment initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of financial structures, risk assessment, and long-term project financing, especially within PPP frameworks.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES:
Financial & Investment Analysis
- Develop, enhance, and maintain detailed financial models for investment opportunities, infrastructure projects, and PPP structures.
- Conduct valuation analysis using DCF, IRR, NPV, scenario and sensitivity testing, and comparable transaction analysis.
- Perform comprehensive financial due diligence, including revenue forecasting, cost analysis, capital structure review, and risk/return assessment.
- Prepare investment memoranda, business cases, project appraisal reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
PPP (Public-Private Partnerships) Support
- Analyze PPP frameworks, contracts, risk allocation mechanisms, and procurement structures.
- Support the preparation and evaluation of PPP proposals, feasibility studies, and public-sector comparator (PSC) models.
- Collaborate with government agencies, private investors, legal advisors, and lenders on PPP project structuring and negotiation.
- Assess viability gaps, financing requirements, and long-term performance metrics for PPP projects.
Market & Sector Research
- Conduct market research on infrastructure sectors (transport, energy, water, social infrastructure, etc.) and emerging investment trends.
- Monitor regulatory developments affecting PPPs, public finance, and private investment participation.
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
- Prepare high-quality analytical reports, dashboards, and investor presentations.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior management, project sponsors, and financing partners.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including legal, technical, and commercial advisors, during project appraisal.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 3–7+ years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, project finance, or advisory.
- Hands-on PPP (Public-Private Partnerships) experience is required.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling (Excel), valuation techniques, and analytical tools.
- Familiarity with infrastructure finance, long-term concession models, and PPP lifecycle processes.
- Experience working with government stakeholders or multilateral agencies is a plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
