Investment Analyst

What We Can Achieve Together:

The Investment Analyst role is a three-year program designed to give early-career professionals broad, hands-on exposure to endowment management across public and private markets. Analysts who complete the program leave well-positioned for graduate business school, careers in asset management, or roles at buy-side investment firms including hedge funds and private equity.

The Office of Investments (OOI) manages TNC's $4+ billion endowment and other long-term capital pools, with a mission to protect and grow the organization's purchasing power in support of global conservation. Led by our Chief Investment Officer, the OOI is a collegial, 15-person team that operates with the rigor and intellectual culture of a top institutional investment office - with the added weight of knowing our work directly funds one of the world's most impactful conservation organizations.

The Investment Analyst will work alongside senior investment professionals on the full lifecycle of manager research - from sourcing and due diligence to ongoing monitoring - across a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of external managers spanning public and private markets. The role also carries important operational responsibilities, providing a complete view of how a world-class endowment functions. The Analyst reports directly to a Director of Investments and is required to work a hybrid schedule in the Worldwide Office located in Arlington, VA 3 days a week (Tuesday-Thursday).
