Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IP Legal Specialist to manage and safeguard the organization’s intellectual property rights. This includes patent drafting, trademark filings, copyright protection, compliance, and contract drafting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working within a technology, AI, or software environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Intellectual Property & Patent Management

• Draft, file, and manage trademarks, patents, and copyright applications.

• Conduct patentability assessments, prior art searches, and infringement analysis.

• Maintain and track renewal schedules and compliance deadlines.

• Monitor misuse or unauthorized use of company IP and take corrective action.

Legal Drafting & Contract Management

• Draft, review, and manage:

• IP Assignment Agreements

• Licensing Agreements

• NDA & Confidentiality Agreements

• Technology Vendor Contracts

• Terms of Use & Privacy Policies
• Ensure all documents protect institutional IP and data regulations.

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

Ensure adherence to:

• Indian Patent and IP Laws

• International IP Protocols including WIPO

• Software & Technology Regulatory Frameworks

• Advise leadership on compliance risks and strategic IP protection.

Coordination & Legal Representation

Collaborate with:

• Patent attorneys
• Government authorities
• Legal consultants
• Support and manage objections, legal disputes, or litigation if required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM)

• Specialization or certifications in Intellectual Property / Patent Law preferred.

• 2–5 years of experience in:

• Patent drafting & filing

• IP compliance for technology/software

• Legal research and drafting

• Strong understanding of tech-based legal frameworks and policies.

Key Skills

• Strong knowledge of Indian & international IP laws

• Excellent legal drafting & research skills

• High attention to detail and confidentiality

• Ability to collaborate with technical and leadership teams

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
