The Valeo Service Digital Development team is continuing to grow and we are now looking for a Software Solution Architect.

Thanks to your passion and expertise in the Digital field, you will create successful products and solutions to assist the IS Digital department in building and delivering innovative projects to drive our business.

Valeo Service is part of the Valeo Group, an Aftermarket Specialist serving both auto manufacturers dealers network with original equipment spares and the independent aftermarket with replacement parts and accessories for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

Our ideal Solutions Architect will be acting as a consultant to our internal customers in delivering the most efficient solutions to accompany their business needs. This will require abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams, working on several projects in parallel, and have a business and customer oriented mindset.

With the support of our Engineering teams, Software Developers and Project Managers you will ensure that your solutions deliver the most appropriate answer to the internal client requirements and be in line with your standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

In interaction with the IS Digital Manager as well as other departments, you will :

• Identify and understand internal customers needs and interpret customer’s requirements to define the most suitable solution for them.
• Work directly with creative and technical team members to evaluate, architect multi-disciplinary solutions for end users

• Conduct high-level solution studies:

• Determine the systems, subsystems and interfaces (new, existing, impacted) involved to meet functional and non-functional requirements
• Identify technical solutions for new systems (to be developed or purchased)
• Define how suggested solutions will be integrated into the information system
• Validate technical assumptions and evaluate alternatives (potentially through POC)
• Provide project and people cost estimates for your solution

• Conduct detailed architecture studies:

• Define and ensure designed solution is aligned with Valeo’s standards rules, cyber security, best practices
• Help identify the best architecture to implement/integrate/deploy the solution, and the path to reach that target
• Provide the low-level architecture design and NFRs.

• Implement solution and follow up on project completion

• Determine project’s scope and define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities along with various stakeholders
• Identify project delivery interdependencies and risks
• Manage and drive internal and external parties upon whom successful project delivery is dependent.
• Maintain project documentations and artefacts to track progress.
• Reviews, recommends and adjusts schedule changes and identifies the impact on the organisation along with risk evaluation and mitigation plans.
• Provide metrics and regular status updates to project stakeholders and to interested parties.
• Complete and ensure the completion of internal IS processes for projects..

Education/Training
Bachelor or Masters degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical

Professional Experience

The candidates should have from +5 years of project management experience and 3 years working at solution architect position

• You are graduated of a higher education in IT development and architecture and have acquired at least 5 years of experience in IT, including at least 3 years in an architect role, in a transverse architecture department or in projects, with design and development related to the web, mobile, data, integration between systems;
• Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• You master architecture modelling languages and techniques (e.g. UML, Archimate, DDD, BPMN, etc.);
• You master the principles and models of integration design and service-oriented architectures (weak coupling/strong consistency, event-driven architecture, etc.);
• You have experience in enterprise architecture and IS modernization;
• You are comfortable with integration technologies (web services/REST API, Batch, ETL, RabbitMQ, Kafka);
• You are comfortable with AWS technologies (especially ECS, EC2, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, S3, Lambda) and other technologies/languages (e.g. Node, PHP, React & React Native, JavaScript, Docker, etc.)
• Knowledge of modern concepts of software development and architectures (SoC, SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, SOA)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate multiple teams at the same time

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

• Sense of business with a strong sensibility to time to market

• Result orientation, with desire to improve our customer's experience
