This position is responsible for serving as a clinically trained professional or nurse liaison between Information Systems, Ambulatory Services, Administration, and any other departments necessary that provide patient care. This position uses expertise to develop, implement, and evaluate projects for the facility to best facilitate its clinical usefulness. This position is responsible for coordination and development of evidence-based clinical documentation. This position provides staff training and performance improvement of systems implemented/utilized. This position assists in the development and implementation of the clinical components of care pathways and decision support systems to optimize the outcomes generated by the facility as a whole and its patients. This position requires familiarity with physician practices workflows, hospital outpatient departments and patient experiences within the organization. This position engages in significant interaction with clients, vendors, support personnel, administration, peers, and others.
Associates Degree in Applied Science Required with 3+ years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting or 5+years of equivalent IT experience in lieu of degree
EPIC Certification will be required in the time frame as determined by the Chief Information Officer.
