Islamic Studies Teacher (Non- Arabs)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Islamic Studies Teacher to deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in Islamic Studies to non-Arab students . The teacher will promote Islamic values, culture, and teachings while ensuring that content is accessible and understandable to students who do not speak Arabic as their first language.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Islamic Studies in English (or other language appropriate for non-Arab learners).
  • Prepare lesson plans that align with the curriculum and age level of the students.
  • Teach core Islamic topics, including:
    • The Five Pillars of Islam
    • The life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
    • Stories of the Prophets
    • Basic Fiqh and Islamic manners
    • Qur’anic values (using translations as needed)
    • Islamic history and culture
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
  • Participate in school events, activities, and Islamic celebrations.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to enhance the curriculum.
  • Serve as a role model in upholding Islamic values within the school community.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Education, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English (required); Arabic is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Minimum [2] years of teaching experience, preferably with non-Arabic speaking students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with international or bilingual school environments is an advantage.
  • Passion for teaching and guiding students in their spiritual and moral development.
