IT Administrator
Location: Doha, Qatar
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are looking for a skilled and proactive IT Administrator to manage and support the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring the availability, security, and performance of systems, networks, and end-user devices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in IT operations, system administration, network management, and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and file sharing services.
- Manage Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and user accounts.
- Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to users and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and security patches.
- Perform regular system monitoring, preventive maintenance, and health checks.
- Manage antivirus solutions, endpoint protection, and security updates.
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity.
- Monitor server performance, storage utilization, and system availability.
- Create and maintain IT documentation, asset inventory, SOPs, and technical reports.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including user account creation, access management, and device allocation.
- Coordinate with vendors for IT procurement, warranty claims, and technical support.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and best practices.
- Assist with IT infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology implementation projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in IT Administration, System Administration, or IT Support.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Windows operating systems.
- Experience managing network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V is an advantage.
- Familiarity with backup solutions, endpoint security, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications (MCSA, Microsoft Certified, Azure Administrator, or Microsoft 365 Administrator).
- Cisco certifications (CCNA) are an advantage.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Experience with IT asset management and helpdesk ticketing systems.
- Previous experience in Qatar or the GCC is preferred.
