Caterpillar Returnship is a 24-week company paid , office -based program designed to enable a soft launch for experienced professionals on a career break. This initiative includes, networking sessions, coaching, trainings and a project / work scope assignment. Eligibility to apply – Career break of minimum 6 months.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

As a WMS/TMS resource, the expectation is to play a key role in current and upcoming WMS projects bringing quality deliverables. The resource should work closely with our Support team to bring improvements to the existing modules and with Development team for designs, configuration, Integration, testing, ideal solutions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of our projects and grow your skills in a collaborative environment. The resource is expected to have close collaboration with the team he is going to work with and train them in WMS/TMS area. The resource is expected to adhere to the policies and procedures of the company to 100% compliance.

  • Experience in implementation of multiple versions of JDA WMS/TMS/Blue Yonder applications along with Web Application and have good knowledge and first-hand experience of Logistics in warehouse operations & processes.

  • Experience in building new functionality, implementation, development and support with varying complexity, customization, and various versions of JDA WMS/Blue Yonder WMS.

  • Should have experience in requirement gathering and preferably solution designing with good analytical and development and configuration skills and develop custom Interfaces and MOCA commands.

  • Having experience in maintaining software versions using GitHub, Develop custom scheduled jobs, Preparation of Function & Technical design, MOCA commands & Report Development.

  • Having good knowledge on all WMS configuration, screen development, integration/interface development, Report development and all relevant knowledge on BYWMS.

  • Measure, control and improve service offerings, standard work & operational processes.

  • Develop and maintain deep technical and business knowledge of the domain

  • Participate in root-cause analysis of technical incidents.

  • Work on multiple problems or projects simultaneously

  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment

  • Monitor health of Blue Yonder TM, TP, OpenShift applications and take appropriate actions when needed. (CPU, Memory, Scheduled Tasks, etc.)

  • Drive Blue Yonder TM System optimization & improvements

  • Lead support case engagement with Blue yonder support.

  • This position requires working onsite five days a week

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science (IT), Information Systems, or related field.

  • 3-5 Years of progressive IT experience in application development & support

Technical & Functional skills:

  • Experience & knowledge of Blue Yonder Warehouse Management Systems or Transportation Management Solution

  • Experience troubleshooting technologically challenging customer issues. Able to use advanced debugging techniques including analysis of tracing, and performance tuning and monitoring

  • Experience in one or more relational databases such as Oracle, MYSQL.

  • Good knowledge or experience in Infrastructure support activities

  • Good knowledge on SQL queries.

  • Good development and debugging experience in Blue yonder WMS/TMS product ecosystem with configuration knowledge.

Top candidate might also have

  • Knowledge of Blue yonder WMS/TMS functional flows.

  • Knowledge of common data structure formats like XML, JSON, EDI etc.

  • Knowledge of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) and messaging concepts

  • Knowledge in SOAP, WSDL webservices

  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GoCD, Azure Devops etc.

The candidate must be very strong in communication skills, both written and verbal. Should be dedicated and have good attitude towards work, self-motivated and willing to take ownership for own & team deliverables. Should be able to work independently on assigned tasks. Flexible to lead own system initiative for development, support, and life cycle maintenance.

Shift: Involves multiple shifts on rotational basis.

  • 1 PM IST to 10 PM IST (regular shift) mostly

  • Weekend work – only based on business priority/need

This position will require travelling about 10% of the time.
