As Assistant IT Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel’s technology environment, supporting both guests and employees in all IT-related matters. Working closely with the IT Manager and external partners, you will assist in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving hardware, software, and network systems while ensuring that all users—from guests to staff—experience seamless connectivity and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day IT operations of the hotel, handling both technical and administrative tasks.
  • Provide prompt assistance to guests and staff for IT-related concerns, ensuring service excellence at every interaction.
  • Install, test, and configure workstations, software, and peripheral equipment.
  • Coordinate user onboarding, including account setup, system access, and hardware allocation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software licenses, and IT assets.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely resolution of IT-related requests and work orders.
  • Liaise with vendors to support implementation of upgrades, projects, and system maintenance.
  • Monitor systems security, data confidentiality, and compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning and backup procedures.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and guest experience.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience within the hotel industry, ideally with prior experience as an Assistant IT Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of PMS (Opera), POS, Wi-Fi networks, and guest-facing technologies such as digital key systems.
  • Skilled at diagnosing and resolving critical IT issues quickly to minimize service disruption.
  • Experienced in managing IT vendors, negotiating contracts, and maintaining asset inventories to optimize performance and costs.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, to effectively engage with staff, guests, and external partners.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment.
