IT Business Analyst
The Department of Administration's (Admin) Office of Technology and Information Services is the state’s central provider of IT services to state government agencies. We are growing and are now seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our team. This role is an integral part of our Endpoint Business Operations team and will provide operational support for Admin, our customers, and executive level agencies. In this role you will ensure the Division of Technology Operation's (DTO) endpoint services billing is current and up to date, coordinate end-user deployments, manage licensing, as well as to work to ensure vendors are in compliance with DTO standards. You will act as a liaison with agency desktop techs and vendors to coordinate and track important project work such as agency workstation moves, refreshes, and sanitizations. You will be a conduit to many of our teams, and your expertise will help drive success.

This position is onsite in beautiful Columbia, South Carolina.

Responsibilities of the IT Business Analyst:
  • Assist with the administration and management of endpoint user software licensing for Admin and managed customers as assigned. Allocate and track license consumption by agency. Assist with reports creation as requested by team members and management.
  • Ensure customers are accurately billed and reported for consumed services. Assist with creation, tracking, and reporting of all endpoint quotes and billing actions. Ensure endpoint business operations and reporting remain current and accurate.
  • Perform as project liaison between customer and Enterprise Support Services, involve project management team when number of project systems/users exceed threshold or project complexity requires one. Perform customer coordination and communication for workstation deployments, refreshes, and sanitizations.
  • Assist with vendor licensing to ensure products and services meet established state standards in scope of endpoint computing. Ensure that vendor portals are accurate and up to date for customer consumption.
  • This position is considered essential to maintain continuity of operations within the Enterprise Support Services group while providing the necessary support for DTO and its customers. May be requested to serve on committees, project teams, or other augmented duties as necessary

Minimum and Additional Requirements

  • A high school diploma and experience in computer system development and modification. A bachelor's degree in a related area may substitute for the required work experience.
  • At least three (3) years of relevant IT experience.
Additional Requirements:
  • Moderate knowledge of capabilities and intricacies of information systems.
  • Knowledge of information technology equipment and procedures.
  • Knowledge of production schedules and information technology uses.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with techs and end customers.
  • Ability to plan, organize and review the work of administrative and technical staff.
  • Ability to develop and implement administrative policies and procedures and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to prepare technical and user-friendly reports in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to establish working relationships with committee members, users and vendors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • CJIS certification is required.
  • Position may require employee to work evenings and weekends.
  • Position requires frequent stooping and/or bending.
  • Position requires frequent lifting: 50lbs.
  • Position may be required to report to work during emergency situations.
  • Will be required to carry a mobile communications device(s) and will be expected to respond, when on call, within one (1) hour from initial contact.
