IT Cybersecurity Analyst
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
- Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security breaches.
- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability testing.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Investigate and analyze security incidents to determine their root cause.
- Develop and update incident response plans.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security best practices are followed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends and threats.
- Provide training and support to staff on cybersecurity awareness.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are preferred.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity tools and technologies.
- In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, and network security.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) and their security features.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Ability to analyze and interpret security logs and alerts.
- Strong understanding of encryption, VPNs, and other security technologies.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
