RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Project Management & Delivery
- Lead planning and execution progress of IT and digital projects across their full lifecycle.
- Work closely with project owners to ensure the project backlog remains clear, refined, prioritized, and properly estimated to support efficient delivery.
- Develop project plans including scope, schedules, resources, risks, and milestones.
- Track work progress across development, deployment, testing, and integration activities.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and provide cost updates.
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies by following up with technical owners and coordinating resolutions.
- Ensure adherence to IT governance, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Manage change requests and assess impacts on scope, timeline, and deliverables.
- Prepare periodic project reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
Technical Workstream Coordination
- Coordinate with technical teams to track progress of solution development, deployment, testing, and integrations.
- Ensure technical workstreams follow documented requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Facilitate resolution of technical blockers by escalating to the right subject matter experts.
- Follow up on testing execution and ensure defects are documented and closed on time.
- Validate that documentation, deployment plans, and handover artifacts are completed by technical teams.
- Monitor readiness for go-live and support alignment across all stakeholders.
Stakeholder Communication & Coordination
- Act as the central communication point between IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and leadership.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and alignment meetings.
- Communicate project progress, risks, decisions, and changes in a structured and clear manner.
- Ensure stakeholders are informed about timelines, priorities, and technical dependencies.
Vendor & Team Coordination
- Coordinate work assignments with vendors and internal IT teams, ensuring clarity of tasks and timelines.
- Track vendor deliverables and follow up on delays, risks, or quality concerns.
- Assist in resolving conflicts or cross-team issues that may impact delivery.
- Support onboarding, evaluation, and performance monitoring of project vendors.
Quality Assurance, Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure required project documentation is completed, reviewed, and stored according to governance frameworks.
- Monitor compliance with security standards, IT policies, and enterprise architecture guidelines.
- Document lessons learned and support continuous improvement of project delivery processes.
- Coordinate smooth transition to operations/support teams after project completion
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Project management–related certification is an advantage (e.g., CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2 Foundation, Agile Foundation).
- Training or coursework in IT project delivery, digital transformation, or IT governance is preferred.
Knowledge
- Understanding of IT systems, digital platforms, applications lifecycle, and infrastructure components.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid).
- Knowledge of testing lifecycles (SIT, UAT), deployment practices, and project documentation standards.
- Awareness of IT governance, cybersecurity principles, and change management processes.
- Proficiency in MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, or similar project/task management tools.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, project engineering, or IT/digital project support roles.
- Experience tracking and coordinating progress across deployment, testing, and technical workstreams.
- Hands-on experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Proven delivery of medium to large-scale projects using agile or hybrid approaches.
- Experience working with cross-functional IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience preparing progress reports, risk logs, and project dashboards.
- Exposure to digital transformation, IT implementation, or system rollout projects
- Experience with project tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or similar applications.
