What to expect:-

The IT Director will lead and oversee the IT Department, responsible for setting strategic directions, formulating IT policies, and supervising the implementation of innovative technological solutions. The role focuses on ensuring operational excellence, enhancing cybersecurity, improving IT service delivery, and supporting the organization’s digital transformation in line with government strategies.


Key Responsibilities:-

  • Strategic Planning & Leadership: Define and execute the IT Department’s strategic and operational plans aligned with the Federal entity's objectives.


  • Infrastructure & Systems: Oversee the development, operation, maintenance, and security of IT infrastructure, systems, databases, portals, and intranet services.


  • Cybersecurity: Lead the implementation of advanced cybersecurity measures to safeguard systems, networks, and sensitive data, ensuring compliance with federal cybersecurity policies.


  • Governance & Compliance: Establish IT governance frameworks, manage IT risks, and ensure compliance with the country's regulations and global best practices.


  • Digital Transformation: Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, automation, and AI solutions to enhance service efficiency and performance.


  • Business Solutions: Supervise the implementation and integration of business applications that improve organizational processes and decision-making.


  • Performance & Reporting: Develop KPIs, monitor IT performance, prepare progress reports, and ensure continuous improvement.


  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with federal entities, external partners, and internal stakeholders to align IT initiatives with governemental strategies.


  • Vendor & Budget Management: Manage IT budgets, optimize resource allocation, and negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers.


  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and evaluate IT staff, building a culture of innovation, accountability, and professional growth.


Qualifications & Experience:-

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience.
  • Proven track record in IT infrastructure modernization, digital transformation, and cybersecurity leadership.
  • Strong expertise in IT governance, cloud computing, and enterprise systems.
  • Experience with government sector IT operations in the country is desirable.
  • Recognized professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, ITIL, PMP, Cloud Certifications) preferred.
