Key Responsibilities1. Technical Documentation Development
- Create, review, and maintain high-quality IT documentation, including system architecture diagrams, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), installation/configuration guides, troubleshooting manuals, and administration references.
- Translate complex technical content into clear, structured documentation suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure, applications, security, and support teams to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness.
2. Governance and Compliance Alignment
- Ensure documentation aligns with CRA’s internal IT governance policies and external standards (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 20000, NDCP, NIA).
- Track and manage document versions, approvals, and publication status through centralized repositories.
- Maintain compliance with document control requirements, including access management, archival, and retention policies.
3. Knowledge Base and User Manuals
- Develop and publish internal knowledge base articles, FAQs, user training materials, and quick-reference guides for IT tools and platforms.
- Support self-service enablement by ensuring the service desk and end-users have access to up-to-date knowledge content.
- Collaborate with functional analysts and training coordinators to produce system and process training materials.
4. Document Repository and Tools Management
- Maintain documentation repositories (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, or equivalent DMS) and ensure logical organization, tagging, and searchability.
- Enforce metadata standards, naming conventions, and access roles.
- Monitor document usage, relevancy, and feedback to optimize content value.
5. Project and Change Documentation Support
- Prepare documentation packages for project onboarding, infrastructure rollout, and application deployments.
- Support change management documentation, including change records, rollback plans, and release notes.
- Document lessons learned, post-implementation reviews, and audit trail materials for completed initiatives.
6. Collaboration and Communication
- Coordinate with SMEs, architects, system owners, and compliance officers to gather input and validate technical accuracy.
- Ensure timely updates to documentation based on infrastructure or system changes.
- Participate in audits and assessments as the documentation focal point for IT.
Preferred CertificationsDocumentation & Standards
- Certified Technical Writer (Society for Technical Communication or equivalent)
- IT Documentation Specialist Certificate (e.g., CompTIA CTT+, TC Certification) – optional
Complementary Certifications
- ITIL® Foundation Certification (for service documentation and change tracking)
- ISO 27001 Awareness / Practitioner (for alignment with security documentation)
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Word, Visio, SharePoint, Confluence, Adobe Acrobat, and diagramming platforms like Lucidchart or Draw.io
