he Role A vital role in an exciting New Cairo R&D site supporting the IT needs of engineers, scientists, HR etc. locally and extending support to Europe as well Act as the IT point of contact to support desk side technology Perform analysis, diagnosis and resolution of IT issues for end users Install, test and maintain software and IT equipment such as laptops, video conference equipment, network devices, printers and peripheral devices What kind of person we are looking for? You should be a great problem solver with an appetite to expand your skills whilst making your customers happy. Positive and forward thinking attitude, ability to multitask and adjust to fast changing and developing environment. A great team player, but also happy to work autonomously. Good written and verbal Arabic & English communication skills are a must.
Additional required skills: Administration experience on Microsoft 365, VMware vSphere 7/8, Horizon View, Windows 10/11 & Server OS (2016+) Proven experience in first and second tier IT remote and onsite support on Windows platforms (client and server) & Linux platforms (client and server) Experience of creating and maintaining documentation and user guides Good troubleshooting skills for day-to-day IT and network issues, including DHCP and DNS Understanding of LAN & WAN networks and topologies Basic understanding of backend storage systems (e.g. from NetApp & Pure) Desirable Skills & Experience Experience of Linux (RHEL & Ubuntu) & Mac systems Experience of AV & Cybersecurity tools client-side support Experience of Veeam backup solutions Experience of Cisco WebEx (hardware and software)
