We are looking for a skilled IT Engineer with ELV (Extra Low Voltage) experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in system and network administration, SQL database management, and practical knowledge of CCTV/camera systems and their management software. This role requires a mix of IT expertise and hands-on experience with ELV solutions to ensure seamless integration, monitoring, and support.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Support
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers, workstations, and virtual environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, and VPNs.
- Manage SQL databases (backups, performance tuning, query optimization).
- Provide technical support for IT-related issues, escalating when necessary. ELV Systems
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV/camera systems and video management software (VMS).
- Integrate cameras with backend storage, monitoring, and control systems.
- Support other ELV systems (access control, alarm systems, etc.) as required.
- Monitor system health and ensure optimal uptime for all security systems. Software & Scripting
- Write and execute SQL queries for troubleshooting and reporting.
- Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Python preferred) for automation.
- Manage system logs, backups, and scheduled tasks.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure network and system security through patching, antivirus, and access policies.
- Maintain compliance with IT and security standards.
- Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and system changes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–6 years of experience in IT support/engineering with exposure to ELV systems.
- Strong knowledge of system and network administration (Windows/Linux, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Hands-on experience with SQL databases (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL preferred).
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, IP cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and VMS platforms
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both IT and ELV hardware/software.
- Familiarity with scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or Python).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with integration of ELV systems into IT infrastructure.
- Exposure to cloud solutions and remote monitoring systems.
- Industry certifications (CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA, or vendor-specific camera/security certifications).
- Knowledge of Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Fire Alarm systems.
