Core Responsibilities of Business Analyst for SAP PS

The SAP PS Business Analyst role at L&T Heavy Engineering is embedded within the broader SAP S/4HANA transformation initiative.

Job description:

1. Project Systems Configuration & Integration

• Configure SAP PS modules to support Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and asset-intensive project models
• Integrate PS with FICO, MM, and SD modules to ensure seamless project accounting, procurement, and billing

2. Process Mapping & Fitment

• Participate in solution fitment workshops to align SAP PS functionalities with L&T’s heavy engineering workflows
• Map business processes such as WBS creation, network activities, milestone billing, and cost planning

3. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with business users, IT teams, and external partners (e.g., EY, CIT, SAP) to gather requirements and validate configurations
• Support change management and training efforts for project teams

Desired Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of SAP PS experience, preferably in S/4HANA environments
• Strong understanding of project structuring, cost planning, budgeting, and settlement processes.
• Experience in ETO models, manufacturing, and engineering domains

• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and support integration testing and data migration.
