<Overview>
Join our dynamic team as an IT Generalist and become a vital contributor to maintaining and enhancing our organization’s technology infrastructure. As an IT Generalist, you will be the go-to expert for troubleshooting, managing hardware and software, and supporting network systems, all while delivering exceptional customer service. Your proactive approach and technical expertise will help keep our systems running smoothly and securely.

<Duties>

  • Provide comprehensive technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across the organization
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software problems on various operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • Manage computer hardware assets, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals
  • Support computer networking tasks such as configuring LANs (Local Area Networks), WANs (Wide Area Networks), VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), firewalls, DNS (Domain Name System), and TCP/IP protocols
  • Administer Active Directory, GPO (Group Policy Objects), SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), and BMC Remedy for user management and system deployment
  • Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure components like servers (Windows Server), network devices (Meraki), and storage solutions
  • Utilize ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and Jira to document issues, track resolutions, and improve service delivery
  • Assist with help desk operations by providing timely support via phone or remote access tools like remote desktop or VPN connections
  • Conduct analysis of system logs and network traffic to identify potential issues or security vulnerabilities
  • Support the deployment and management of security measures including firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection tools

<Skills>

  • Proven experience in providing technical support for computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and desktop support
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows (Windows 10/11/Server), macOS, and Linux distributions
  • Familiarity with computer networking concepts such as LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, DHCP configuration, and network administration
  • Experience with Active Directory management, Group Policy configuration, SCCM deployment, and BMC Remedy ticketing system usage
  • Ability to configure and troubleshoot network security devices like firewalls (including Cisco ASA or similar) and Meraki appliances
  • Proficiency in managing mobile devices and supporting BYOD environments
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset to assist users effectively
  • Strong analysis skills for diagnosing complex technical issues quickly and accurately
  • Knowledge of operating system updates, patches, backups, disaster recovery procedures, and system monitoring tools

Pay: $25.72 - $30.98 per hour
