IT GENERALIST/MICROCOMPUTER TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST-FULL TIME

CIVIL SERVICE NON-COMPETITIVE POSITION

SALARY: $55,000 - $60,000 annually

LOCATION: DISTRICT OFFICE

START DATE: June 3, 2026

DESCRIPTION:

The IT Generalist will operate under the supervision of the Senior Network Manager. This position will be heavily involved on projects that range from improving our infrastructure, security, instructional, and operational technology. The ideal candidate must be willing to assist others and have strong communication skills.The IT Generalist will work closely with the Senior Network Manager and Technology Team Lead as we begin to tackle critical projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Criminal Justice, Business or a related program and one (1) year of experience working on projects or systems;

• OR-

• Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college with an Associate's degree in Information Technology,Criminal Justice, Business or a related program and two (2) years of full time work experience working on projects or systems
• Must be willing to learn quickly and over time be able to work independently on projects with limited guidance
• Must be fingerprinted through the NYS Department of Education (required for new employees) - fingerprint procedure

• Web Filtering
• Incident Response

• Identity and Access Management experience is a plus
• Security camera experience is a plus
