To maintain a competitive advantage as we grow, we are currently looking for a new "IT Governance Specialist".


Job purpose:

To execute day-to-day IT governance activities, ensuring compliance with established policies, supporting risk mitigation initiatives, and maintaining accurate documentation for governance processes. This role is integral to maintaining operational adherence to governance standards and ensuring timely support for audits and compliance checks.


Responsibilities:

Compliance Monitoring:

  • Track compliance against governance policies, identify patterns of non-conformance, and escalate issues for resolution.
  • Escalate identified issues to the Manager for resolution.

Documentation Maintenance:

  • Maintain accurate records of governance activities, ensuring readiness and accuracy for audit purposes..
  • Maintain and validate the accuracy of governance-related documentation to support audit readiness and operational consistency.

Risk Mitigation Support:

  • Assist in executing risk mitigation strategies by providing support for defined tasks and regularly updating progress to the Senior Specialist or Manager to ensure alignment with governance priorities.
  • Track and update progress on risk management activities as assigned.

Audit Assistance:

  • Support audit preparation by organizing and providing required documentation.
  • Assist with audit-related tasks, including addressing specific queries or findings.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Liaise with internal teams to address governance-related concerns and provide required information.
  • Act as a point of contact for routine governance-related requests.

Operational Support:

  • Track and report on the status of IT governance activities, including compliance checks, such as IT operation and IT control compliance, and risk mitigation tasks.
  • Assist in ensuring IT governance policies are consistently applied across operational and control activities, including service levels, quality and continuity management. Conduct periodic compliance checks and report to Senior team.


Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in IT operations, compliance, or governance-related roles, with a focus on learning and development in governance practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with IT compliance practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Good knowledge of IT governance frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, NIST, or ISO 27001.
  • Ability to assist with risk mitigation tasks, audit documentation, and compliance monitoring activities.
  • ITIL Foundation or equivalent certifications are desirable but not mandatory.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of compliance tasks and governance documentation.
  • Ability to identify basic risks and escalate them to higher levels when needed.

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills to handle daily governance tasks efficiently.
  • Capable of executing compliance checks and preparing audit materials with precision.

(HEART)

  • Proactive in supporting team initiatives and ensuring alignment with governance objectives.
  • Eager to learn and develop skills in IT governance and compliance.
