IT Governance Specialist- Coordinator

Manama, Bahrain

JOB PURPOSE

The role holder is responsible for managing professional relationships with regulators and providing guidance on dealing with IT regulatory developments. The role holder is also responsible for preparing reports for management and various Steering and Board Committees.

The purpose of this role will be to support the Head of IT Governance with all governance and control-related functions. The IT Governance Function is responsible for IT Regulatory Compliance, IT Audit Governance, and IT Governance support, including IT financials and IT Service Management.

Key Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

IT Governance

IT Governance Documentation – Coordinate the development and ongoing maintenance of other IT policies, standards, processes, and procedures

Maintain a schedule of policy review and submission to the board for approval ▪ Coordinate the IT Audit and Compliance activities.

Develop, implement, and monitor reporting mechanisms for governance and risk practices to support compliance and highlight areas of exposure

To provide support and input to the internal audit process and risk management

IT Financials – Contracts, Invoices, Budget

▪Monitor the departmental budget, ensuring expenditure within set parameters and aligned with the overall strategy of the IT department.

▪Develop and prepare periodic and ad-hoc reports for management and various steering committees.

IT Service Management

▪Assist in implementing IT Service Management

▪Gatekeeper to have an updated IT Service management documentation.

▪Help in making sure SLA are in place and build reports against them.

IT Governance Reporting To

Head of IT Governance

▪Identify good and poor performance services and share best practices as a means to improve organizational performance

▪Conduct Service review meetings and identify process weaknesses and ensure continuous improvements.

IT Project Management

▪Effective participation in IT and the Bank’s projects.

▪Coordinate with IT PMO and EPMO to control project risk and completion, while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Threshold Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in a related area, such as Computer Science or Information Technology

Industry-standard qualifications such as ITIL, COBIT, and CGEIT would be a strong recommendation

Standards: ISO27001, PCI-DSS Years & Nature of Experience

At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role

Experience in compliance frameworks for Information Security, Compliance & IT Governance

Pay: BD800.000 - BD1,200.000 per month
