As an IT Help Desk Technician, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the technology that powers our internal operations and client services. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, highly communicative, and dedicated to providing exceptional service to our AVmedia family.
Availability required Monday-Sunday, days and nights and holidays.
Responsibilities:- Serve as the first point of contact for AVmedia family members experiencing technical issues.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.
- Set up and configure laptops, mobile devices, and software subscriptions for new family members.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across Windows and macOS platforms.
- Assist in maintaining IT infrastructure, including network connectivity, printers, and conference room AV systems.
- Support AVmedia’s security and data protection protocols as directed by IT leadership.
- Help manage inventory of IT hardware and software assets.
- Participate in documentation of IT procedures and assist in developing best practices for the helpdesk function.
- Support onsite event technology as needed, providing hands-on AV and IT troubleshooting.
- Uphold AVmedia’s Core Values and Core Purpose by serving as a role model and culture ambassador across teams.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in an IT support/helpdesk role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Windows OS, and macOS.
- Basic understanding of networks, VPNs, and user account management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for customer service.
- A collaborative mindset and a desire to grow within a team-driven environment.
- Familiarity with audiovisual systems is a plus.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant certifications preferred.
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Valid driver’s license preferred (occasional travel may be required).
Location & Travel:
- Based in Orlando, FL
- Occasional travel to local client sites or events may be required (under 25%)
