IT Innovation Strategist - Technology Transformation Lead

Position Overview:

We are seeking a creative and strategic IT Innovation Strategist who can bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking, understands the unique challenges of financial trading technology, and brings fresh ideas to enhance our systems, security, and user experience . This role is for someone who sees technology not as a support function but as a core driver of business growth and innovation .

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Technology Planning (30%)

• Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring technology infrastructure supports company growth and market competitiveness
• Advise leadership on emerging technologies (AI/ML, cloud computing, low-latency systems) and their potential applications in FX/CFD trading
• Conduct technology assessments and feasibility studies for new initiatives, including vendor selection and implementation planning
• Create technology roadmaps that balance innovation with operational stability and security
• Manage IT budget and resources strategically to maximize ROI on technology investments

Innovation & Emerging Technologies (25%)

• Lead the exploration and prototyping of new technologies including Generative AI, agentic AI, and automation tools that can enhance trading platforms and internal operations
• Experiment with AI-powered development tools to accelerate software delivery and improve code quality
• Identify opportunities for cloud transformation and optimization (including FinOps) to improve scalability and cost efficiency
• Stay ahead of industry trends in fintech, low-latency trading systems, and digital transformation

Systems Architecture & Development (25%)

• Design scalable, secure technology architectures that support high-performance trading platforms and low-latency requirements
• Oversee the development and integration of APIs, trading platforms, and internal systems
• Implement DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code to streamline delivery and operations
• Ensure systems are built for high availability, resilience, and disaster recovery
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to produce clean, testable, high-performance code

IT Operations & Governance (20%)

• Establish and enforce IT policies, security protocols, and compliance standards in line with industry regulations
• Implement monitoring, observability, and incident response processes to ensure system reliability
• Manage vendor relationships and technology partnerships
• Ensure data protection, cybersecurity, and business continuity
• Drive continuous improvement in IT service delivery and operational efficiency

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• 5-8+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a strategic or leadership role
• Proven experience in financial services, FX/CFD trading, or fintech sectors (strongly preferred)
• Track record of leading technology transformation initiatives and delivering innovative solutions

Technical Expertise:

• Deep understanding of trading systems, low-latency architectures, and market data infrastructure
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native architectures
• Knowledge of AI/ML, Generative AI, and their applications in financial technology
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code
• Understanding of API design, microservices, and integration patterns
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, data protection, and regulatory compliance
• Programming/scripting skills (Python, Java, C++, or similar) are a plus
