IT Intern – Cyber Security

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cyber Security Intern to support the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) function within the IT department. The intern will assist in the development, documentation, and implementation of information security policies aligned with ISO 27001 standards. This role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise security frameworks, compliance processes, and real-world policy enforcement within a dynamic media environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the GRC Manager in drafting, reviewing, and updating information security policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with ISO 27001 standards
• Support in mapping organizational controls with ISO 27001 Annex A controls
• Participate in risk assessments, risk register updates, and compliance tracking activities
• Help in documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and security processes
• Assist in internal audits and evidence collection for compliance reviews
• Support awareness initiatives by helping prepare security awareness materials and training content
• Monitor policy implementation and assist in ensuring adherence across departments
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of policies and compliance artifacts

Eligibility Criteria:

• Currently enrolled in BS (Cyber Security) or MS (Cyber Security) program from a recognized institution
• Basic understanding of Information Security principles and frameworks
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 concepts and policies (academic or practical exposure)
